Primary SEND Teaching Assistant

Doncaster, DN5 

£95 per day

Start date: January 2026

Contract type: Temporary

Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only

Unique School Solutions are supporting a small Primary School in the DN5 area of Doncaster, who are needing a Teaching Assistant to work predominantly in KS2. The role will be starting at 8am to support breakfast club, before working within the classroom under the direction of the teacher, supporting students in Years 3 to 6 including those with Special Educational Needs. There is a possibility of leading a phonics group too. The role is to start in January 2025, on a temporary basis.

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience working within a school
  • KS2 curriculum knowledge
  • Phonics experience, specifically Read Write Inc
  • Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • The ability to build rapport with young learners
  • The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative
