VDC Administrator – Thorne (DN8) – Leading Automotive Services Provider

You’ll be perfect for this role if you:

  • Are confident with Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets

  • Have a sharp eye for detail and love keeping accurate records

  • Can organise tasks efficiently and communicate clearly with colleagues

  • Can commute daily to Thorne, DN8

 

What you NEED

  • Previous administration experience, ideally in technical, engineering, or manufacturing settings

  • Strong IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets

  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Our client is a leading provider of technical and distribution services to the automotive industry, with a strong reputation for quality and efficiency. The Thorne site plays a key role in vehicle distribution, refurbishment, and remarketing, supporting operations nationwide.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative support across all site functions and departments

  • Review and time technical and refurbishment work on vehicles to ensure maximum revenue capture

  • Prepare accurate invoices and produce regular management reports to support operational decision-making

  • Administer vehicle sales and auction requests, manage vehicles through refurbishment and distribution processes, and support wider remarketing activities

  • Collate and dispatch all necessary documentation for sold vehicles, handle incoming post and enquiries promptly

  • Ensure compliance with site rules, Health & Safety standards, and environmental requirements
