The role involves supporting project delivery and the innovation of new products while developing engineering and project management skills.
Candidates are required to have a degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering, along with proficiency in finite element analysis and stress reporting.
Experience with the ESIVirtual Performance Solutions suite or explicit analysis tools like LS-DYNA or Abaqus is desirable.

OurclientisaleadingdesignerandmanufacturerofAerospace,Defence,andMarineequipment.TheyarelookingforaStressEngineertojointhemonapermanentbasisassoonaspossible.

Inthisrole,youwillbeprovidingyourengineeringknowledgetosupportthedeliveryofprojectsandprogrammesandtheinnovationanddevelopmentofnewproducts.

AllwhilsthavingtheopportunitytocontinuouslydevelopyourownengineeringandprojectmanagementskillswithintheCompanysdynamicengineeringenvironment.

StressEngineer-Responsibilities:

UndertakedesignworkinaccordancewiththeparameterssetoutbytheEngineeringManager.

ThiswillincludeanalysisviahandorFiniteElementAnalysis(FEA),2Ddrawing,3DCAD,Solidworks,DDM,PDMandtheproductionofreports/documentationtosatisfytheneedsoftheproject.

Conductregularprojectandprogrammereviews,reportingtoandupdatingkeystakeholdersandCustomers.

Participatein/supervisethemanufactureofprototypesandtrialsinwhichthephysicaltestingoftheprototypes/samplesisnotuncommon.

Maintainaccurate,timelyrecordsofhoursworkedoneachproject.

Participateintheinitialdesign,estimatingandreviewofassignedprojects.

StressEngineer-Requirementsforsuccess:

Adegreeinmechanical,aerospace,orcivilengineering

Proficiencyinfiniteelementanalysis(linearstaticandnon-lineardynamicstressanalysis)andclassicalcalculations.

ExperienceofESIVirtualPerformanceSolutionssuite(PAM-CRASH)isdesirableorexperienceofexplicitanalysisusingLS-DYNA,AbaqusorRadioss.

Proficiencyinwritingstressreports/structuralanalysisreports.

Familiaritywithrelevantcodesandstandards.

AvaliddrivinglicenceandawillingnesstotravelintheUKandabroadarealsorequired.
