We are seeking a dedicated SEN Specialist Teacher with expertise in Art and Food Technology to join our specialist autism provision near Dorchester, Dorset. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Art and Food Technology tailored to the needs of autistic pupils.
- Create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils educational and emotional development.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of sensory, communication, and learning needs.
- Contribute to the development of personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with autistic children or young people in a specialist or mainstream setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Art and/or Food Technology.
- A creative, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
