Electrical Design Engineer is required for a leading innovator in factory and process automation, specialising in robot-based, electromechanical systems. Our client provides effective solutions across various industries, including defence and aerospace.

In this role, you will design and develop electrical solutions for robot-based, electromechanical systems used in factory and process automation. You will work collaboratively across departments, leveraging your electrical knowledge and expertise to create safe and effective solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical solutions for robot-based, electromechanical systems.
  • Utilise EPLAN electrical design software to create electrical schematics and 2D electrical panel layouts.
  • Design industrial control cabinets and ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical detail in both written and verbal English.
  • Generate and manage technical documentation in line with the Company's product development process.
  • Occasionally join the workshop team to fault-find and identify solutions.

Requirements:

  • Degree/HND/HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications and/or experience.
  • Previous experience in an electrical design role or a role requiring a reasonable degree of electrical design.
  • Proficient in the creation of electrical schematics using EPLAN.
  • Demonstrable ability to create 2D electrical panel layouts.
  • Effective communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks based on high-level project milestones and objectives.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and get hands-on when required.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Natural problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to drive in the UK.
  • UK citizenship is required due to the nature of the role.
