Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join their dedicated maintenance team. This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated professional with excellent diagnostic and customer service skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality repair, installation, and refurbishment work across a range of domestic properties, ensuring all work complies with I.E.E. wiring regulations, including Part P.

Electrician Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding on single & three-phase installations
  • Electrical testing and inspection, including Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
  • Completion of electrical installation certificates and minor works reports
  • Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
  • Installation and replacement of showers, electric heating, immersion elements, and domestic heating controls
  • Electrical installation work on various systems and equipment
  • Reporting urgent repairs or health and safety concerns to the Qualifying Supervisor
  • Accurate daily record keeping and time management using PDA/smart devices
  • Participation in the Emergency Out of Hours service rota
  • Promoting a proactive health and safety culture across all operations

Electrician Required Skills & Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 2330 and 2382 qualifications (Essential)
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Proven experience in domestic electrical installations and repairs
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to specify required materials and complete works to a high standard
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and independently
  • Proficiency with smartphone technology and work scheduling via PDAs
  • Willingness to undergo further training and development
