As a Senior Calibration Engineer you will be expected to calibrate a wide range of precision measurement instruments and test equipment at the company's UKAS accredited laboratory with a fast turnaround, as well as support less experienced engineers from both a UKAS and Calibration point of view.

Description

As a Senior Calibration Engineer you will support with:

  • Calibration of a range of precision equipment in an fast-paced ISO17025 laboratory
  • Development of result sheets, including measurement tolerances and uncertainty budgets to report back to clients
  • Identification and development of new calibration activities, methods, and equipment to enhance company capabilities and service offerings
  • Meeting quick-turnaround deadlines to deliver key client projects, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and service
  • Supervising and mentoring colleagues to support and deputise for site lead on occasion as required

Profile

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced ISO 17025 accredited laboratory
  • Knowledge and first-hand experience working with precision measurement equipment, inclusive of calibrating and making adjustments
  • Strong understanding of operating in an ISO17025 environment
  • A willingness to get stuck in and support with ad-hoc tasks to ensure on time accurate delivery of results to clients
  • A degree / HND or equivalent experience in engineering, sciences or related.

The role is 5-days on site (Mon-Fri) based in Dorset
