JOB PURPOSE

  • To support the Strategic Estates Programme Manager in the delivery of major capital schemes from inception to completion, including design, project management,contract administration and site supervision.
  • To be responsible for supervising the construction stage of projects. To includeformal responsibilities under the NEC3 Works Supervisor role
  • To lead on smaller capital projects within the strategic team to enable major projectsto commence.
  • To comply with and ensure contracts comply with site rules and policies.
  • Ensure project elements are communicated with the correct teams at the correcttimes.

Take and monitor minutes and actions in both formal and informal meetings internally and with external parties.

KNOWLEDGE &EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record of delivering CapitalConstruction project planning, implementationand completion (E)
  • Experience in specific project managementtechniques
  • Experience communicating commerciallysensitive and complex information tostakeholders (E)..
  • Experience in site supervision, contractorperformance management, and constructionquality assurance (E)
  • Demonstrable experience of applyingcurrent legislation and regulations in the construction industry including ConstructionDesign Management Regulations (E)
  • Experience of working in an NHS
  • Capital works environment (D)Knowledge of Estates and Facilities services(D)
  • Experience of administering constructioncontracts (eg NEC Engineering andConstruction Contract (D)
