Project Manager

Rate - 450 (A Day)

Duration - 4 Months (Initial)

Location - Dorset (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-impact workload planning and transformation project within a higher education environment. This role will focus on driving change across academic workload models through the creation of new policies, workload frameworks, and tariff structures.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience delivering complex change initiatives within a university or higher education setting and will be confident working with senior academic and professional services stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a workload planning and transformation programme
  • Design and implement new workload models, policies, and tariff frameworks
  • Drive organisational change and ensure adoption across faculties and departments
  • Engage and influence senior academic stakeholders and governance groups
  • Facilitate workshops and consultations to gather requirements and build alignment
  • Manage project plans, risks, dependencies, and reporting to senior leadership

Essential Experience

  • Strong Project Management experience delivering change and transformation projects
  • Previous experience working within higher education or a university environment
  • Experience in workload planning, workforce modelling, or resource allocation
  • Proven ability to develop and implement policies and frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience with academic workload allocation models
  • Knowledge of academic contracts and HE governance
  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, or equivalent)
