Night Support Worker
  • Location: Dorset
  • Annual Salary: £28,141.75 - £30,689.75
  • Job Type: Full-time (Permanent and 12-month fixed term contracts available)
  • Working Hours: 7:45 PM - 8:15 AM, 4 on 4 off shifts, averaging 43.75 hours per week

Join our team of dedicated staff with an Education establishment, where we support young people aged 16-25 with additional social, emotional, autism, and mental health needs. We are seeking Life Preparation & Transition Night Support Workers to assist our students in their on-site homes, focusing on preparing them for adult life and facilitating their transition into further education, training, or employment.

Day-to-day of the role of a Night Support Worker:
  • Support students with their evening routines post-handover from the day team.
  • Engage in evening activities, ensuring students settle for the night.
  • Act as a liaison for parents and carers, managing health/medical needs.
  • Provide emotional support and a listening ear for students.
  • Help develop students' independent living skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Night support worker role:
  • No previous experience required; all training provided.
  • Willingness to engage creatively in meeting students' needs.
  • Ability to support development of independence skills.
  • Strong understanding of quality care and student empowerment.
  • Access to transport and a driver's licence is essential.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
