Night Support Worker- Location: Dorset
- Annual Salary: £28,141.75 - £30,689.75
- Job Type: Full-time (Permanent and 12-month fixed term contracts available)
- Working Hours: 7:45 PM - 8:15 AM, 4 on 4 off shifts, averaging 43.75 hours per week
Join our team of dedicated staff with an Education establishment, where we support young people aged 16-25 with additional social, emotional, autism, and mental health needs. We are seeking Life Preparation & Transition Night Support Workers to assist our students in their on-site homes, focusing on preparing them for adult life and facilitating their transition into further education, training, or employment.
Day-to-day of the role of a Night Support Worker:- Support students with their evening routines post-handover from the day team.
- Engage in evening activities, ensuring students settle for the night.
- Act as a liaison for parents and carers, managing health/medical needs.
- Provide emotional support and a listening ear for students.
- Help develop students' independent living skills.
- No previous experience required; all training provided.
- Willingness to engage creatively in meeting students' needs.
- Ability to support development of independence skills.
- Strong understanding of quality care and student empowerment.
- Access to transport and a driver's licence is essential.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Comprehensive training and Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care (funded).
