ADVERT FOR SUPPORT WORKERS (Foyers) – Dorset

Due to high demand, we are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and contribute to their journey towards stability and independence.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking Support Workers to cover shifts in homeless hostels and supported living services in Dorset. The majority of the work available at the moment involves supporting female individuals who have experienced homelessness. The shifts available include earlies, lates, long days, and waking nights, providing flexibility for our dedicated Support Workers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibility of the Support Worker role is to provide support and assistance to individuals facing homelessness. This includes individuals with complex needs, such as alcohol and substance misuse issues. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role or a background in supporting homeless adults. The Support Worker will be resilient, patient, empathetic, and have excellent communication skills. They will also need to have the ability to maintain safe working boundaries and handle challenging and unpredictable behaviours.
