Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment. The Panel Beater will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship.

Duties

Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs required.
Use hand tools and power tools to remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle panels.
Weld and assemble parts as needed to restore structural integrity.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
Follow schematics and technical drawings to complete repairs accurately.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines.
Perform equipment repair and maintenance as required to ensure optimal performance of tools.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks when moving large panels or components.

Experience

Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
Previous experience in customer service is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to interact positively with clients.
Ability to read and interpret schematics is highly desirable.
