Our fantastic client who is a leader in their field is seeing a Risk and Safety Executive to join them on a 6 month contract. This is a very admin focussed role, so the right candidate needs to have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines

As Risk and Safety Executive you will act as the main point of communication between our appointed external safety consultants and our UK company brands at group level. As the central information source for matters relating to Risk and safety, you will have an interest in health and safety and excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analysing lists of providers (accommodation, transport, activities & excursions) and assessing gaps with our

appointed safety consultants’ database

  • Requesting new audits as defined by TravelSmart via our appointed safety consultants
  • Keeping a tally of the volumes of new providers requested
  • Monitoring the progress of audits via our appointed safety consultants’ live system
  • Risk & Safety policy with the internal Risk & Safety Advisory Group
  • Supporting individual brands and other internal departments to utilise the R&S framework effectively
  • Monitoring information from ABTA and other sources relating to risk and safety
  • Monitoring and controlling the supply chain auditing process in conjunction with our appointed safety consult- ants
  • Reviewing monthly update reports from our appointed safety consultants, cross-checking with our supplier list
  • Ensuring all brands are aware of, and act in accordance with, the gradings and advice provided by our ap- pointed safety consultants; provide support internally to help individual brands understand gradings and advi- sories
  • Contact providers where necessary to ensure checklists are completed and queries responded to
  • Obtain contact details and provide support to our appointed safety consultants when communications with providers have stalled or stopped
  • Create, maintain and foster strong relationships with providers (e.g. accommodation, DMCs, transport, activi- ties & excursions) from a risk and safety perspective to ensure the smooth running of the TravelSmart policy
  • Work with product, purchasing and contracting teams closely to provide lists of suppliers to our appointed safety consultants
  • Maintain a list of providers who cannot be sold, either due to their grading (e.g. Red) or their type (e.g. quad bikes)
  • Co-ordinate internal risk and safety training (which will be provided by our appointed safety consultants or our internal Risk & Safety team)
  • Attend Risk & Safety Advisory Group and Risk & Safety Team meetings as required
  • Contribute to the review of TravelSmart on an annual basis and support the continual improvement of the policy
  • Meeting key performance indicator targets
  • Any other tasks required by the company

  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate and build rapport with suppliers
  • Knowledge and experience in H&S databases
  • Experience in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
