Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Dover, Kent (must have your own transport due to location and shifts)

Salary: Days 12.30 per hour | Nights 14.15 per hour

Increasing to 12.60 per hour (days) and 14.50 per hour (nights) after a 3-month probation and further increases once competent in all six areas (usually achieved within 6 - 12 months)

Hours: 4 on 4 off rotating days & nights - 5.45am - 6.15pm and 5.45pm - 6.15am

Role Summary:

As a Production Operative you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring products are produced to specification, on time and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on position, working as part of a team in a busy production environment.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Stack and organise finished products in designated areas.
  • Load and unload panels onto pallets, racks or transport equipment.
  • Ensure panels are handled carefully to avoid damage during stacking or movement.
  • Assist machine operators by removing completed products from the production line.
  • Carry out quality checks during and after production.
  • Accurately record inspection results, highlighting non-conformances and reporting defects.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet trucks or other material handling equipment (if trained).
  • Load and prepare materials on the line ready for production.
  • Use production machinery to manufacture products.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Good time-management and reliability
  • Physically fit and have the ability to carry out manual tasks
  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
