Your Role

As a Road Freight Forwarder, youll be responsible for handling both existing and new client accounts, ensuring their shipments are managed efficiently from start to finish. Your role will involve coordinating with clients, suppliers, and external agencies while maintaining strong relationships to support smooth logistics operations. Additionally, you will be involved in the completion of necessary customs documentation when required, so experience in customs formalities is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and competitive quotations using our in-house system and procedures.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure client requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and process customs clearance documents in a timely manner.
  • Accurately complete shipping documentation, such as CMR notes, packing lists, and customs paperwork when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Keep clients informed on the progress of their shipments, providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain and update the in-house system with relevant shipment details.
What were looking for:
  • Ideally, 2 years experience within a European road freight environment, with customs knowledge for both Import & Export a prerequisite.
  • Experience using freight and customs declaration systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-moving industry.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing logistics challenges.
