Science Teacher - SEN School (Autism Focus)

Academics Ltd is excited to be working in close partnership with a fantastic SEN school, dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with autism. The school is now seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis, starting from 1st September 2025.

About the Role:

  • Teach Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) to small classes of students with autism, adapting lessons to their individual needs.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that promote curiosity and foster a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with support staff and fellow teachers to ensure each student's needs are met, and their progress is supported.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage the development of independent learning skills and personal growth for all students.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
  • Experience working with students with autism or special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic approach and a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • The ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative and flexible attitude.
