About the Role:
SEND Inclusion Support are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher for one of our partner schools in Cornwall. This specialist provision supports pupils with PMLD, pre-verbal communication needs, and ASD. Classes are small, around six pupils, allowing for highly personalised, creative, and adaptive teaching approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a class of approximately six pupils with complex SEND needs

  • Plan and deliver individualised, sensory and communication-focused learning programmes

  • Collaborate closely with SEND TAs, therapists, and other professionals

  • Implement strategies to support engagement, wellbeing, and learning progress

  • Foster a nurturing, structured, and safe classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching pupils with PMLD, ASD, or similar complex SEND needs

  • Strong understanding of sensory learning and communication approaches

  • Calm, flexible, and child-centred teaching style
