Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join one of our longstanding food manufacturing clients in the East Riding Area.

As their Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for handling the installation, preventative/reactive maintenance and repairs of the machinery and facilities on site. Ensuring the smooth running of the production.

This role is easily commutable from Scarborough, Bridlington, Hull, Market Weighton and the surrounding areas. Offering a very competitive package including salary and perks. Working 4 on 4 off, days and nights. (48hrs per shift)

Key accountabilities:

  • Carry out the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and

equipment;

  • Provide Engineering support to Production to ensure efficient performance on all

equipment;

  • Respond to any emergency breakdowns whilst on site with rota'd on-call requirements across the Engineering team;
  • Provide training to production Team Leaders and Operatives on the lines to improve their understanding of the equipment and the correct operating practices;
  • Assist in ensuring the safety of products produced, including through working within a HACCP framework;
  • Ensure that all H&S procedures and engineering best practice are always adhered to;
  • Accurate & timely records are entered and recorded on all work carried out, root causes of

failures and of spares/consumables used;

  • Complete any other duties that arise and are deemed the responsibility of the engineer.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent with a recognised Engineering qualification
  • Electrical bias
  • Previous maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Flexible working attitude
  • Competent electrical / fault finding & analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Methodical & strong attention to detail
