Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to work to high standards under pressure. The role involves operating machinery and hand-finishing products in accordance with technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and tools according to technique card specifications
- Perform high-quality hand-finishing of products
- Follow detailed written and computerised technical instructions
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
- Work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Maintain good communication with team members and supervisors
- Lead or supervise others when required
Required Skills & Experience:
- Valid FLT Licence
- Valid Pedestrian Truck Licence
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Foundry)
- Previous experience with casting processes
- Skilled in using abrasive tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Proven people management experience
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
Hours of work:
2 week shift rotation.
-         Week1 AM shift – 05:30am – 13:45pm (Fri 11:45am finish)
-         Week2 PM shift – 2:00pm – 10:00pm (Fri 12:00pm – 7:00pm)
Rate of Pay:
- £14.49 per hour Â
- Overtime available after 40hrs
