NPI Project Engineer – Droitwich

Our client is a specialist in custom manufacturing across many industry sectors. As a NPI Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the New Product Introduction product life cycle, from initial component design to final customer approval, applying a continuous improvement approach to processes and ensuring that products meet the clients exact design specifications.

NPI Project Engineer Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the New Product Introduction lifecycle, from initial component design to final customer approval.
  • Collaborate with toolmakers, customers, and internal teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee tooling orders, validate tool designs, and manage the entire development process.
  • Plan and oversee tool trials, analysing data to ensure process capability and high-quality output.
  • Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting tooling and equipment issues.
  • Continuously refine and optimise manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Use CAD/SolidWorks software to review and amend engineering drawings.

 NPI Project Engineer Requirements:  

  • Previous experience working within a Project Engineer or equivalent position.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, CAD software, and GD&T principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience in data analysis.
