About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to join secondary schools across Worcestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with young people and is looking to make a difference in the classroom. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, on-task, and productive.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision: Oversee classes during teacher absence, ensuring students stay focused and on task.
Lesson Delivery: Implement pre-prepared lessons, assisting students with learning activities.
Behaviour Management: Maintain a positive, calm, and disciplined classroom environment.
Reporting: Inform school leadership of any behavioural or academic concerns.
General Support: Assist with administrative tasks as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to engage with students and staff.
Classroom Management: Ability to manage and guide students effectively in a classroom setting.
Safeguarding: A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
DBS Check: A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
