Our client is a groundworks and civil engineering company based in the West Midlands. Operating as a sub-contractor for major and regional housebuilders, as well as other market sectors, they have an opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Responsibilities
Review and report weekly cost & value for projects, schemes and liaison with operations
Monthly contract forecasting
Assist finance in compiling of monthly applications for payments
Compiling monthly CVR reports & reviewing with Managers
Managing Subcontract accounts from procurement to final account
Subcontract management within projects, including sub-contract payments and liabilities
Attending Contract progress meetings where required with Client
Work in Partnership with the Client and in a collaborative manner
Commercial assistance to operations
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
Degree in quantity surveying / similar qualification, or relevant experience
Previous experience working on groundworks, civil engineering or residential projects
Between 1 - 5 plus years of experience in quantity surveying
Team player, able to communicate to all levels
Computer literate
This position is suitable for an experienced Assistant QS looking for the next step in their career or for a well-established QS professional. Salaries will depend on the candidate's experience.
