Acoustic Consultant

Penguin Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a leading specialist acoustic consultancy with expertise in environmental noise. Renowned for high-quality services, their projects span renewable energy (wind farms, solar, BESS), infrastructure (road, rail), and industrial ventures (data centres, manufacturing).

Location: Hybrid role with remote work flexibility. UK-based candidates welcome, occasional travel to Dublin, Ireland required.



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects from start to finish, including budgets and technical assessments.
  • Write detailed technical reports and provide guidance to team members/sub-consultants.
  • Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
  • Develop strategies and proposals to meet client needs.


Requirements

Essential:

  • 2+ years of experience in acoustic consultancy.
  • Expertise in EIAR-related large-scale projects.
  • Degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • MIOA membership, full driving licence, and proficiency in acoustic standards/software.
  • Proven project management, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Fieldwork experience in environmental noise/vibration.
  • Use of acoustic modelling software (Predictor, iNoise).
  • Expert witness and EPA licensing experience.
