Our client is offering an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and credible candidate to join their organisation in the new role of Business Manager. Reporting in to the MD but operating with a high level of autonomy this is a very much a "Hands on" role in which the successful candidate will immerse themself across all aspects of the business. 

This position will suit an individual from a strong manufacturing/engineering background who have experience in comparable role or who are looking for the next step in their career, potentially from a Senior Sales position.  This is a site based role in Dublin. The client is offering an excellent salary DOE plus Bonus.

Role Purpose

Ensure the company maximises sales opportunities working within operational budgets whilst maintaining and improving working systems in order to increase sales and profit. Working closely with the MD to produce effective sales plans for development in current and new market sectors and new product ranges. Implementing agreed plans and ensuring proposed targets are met and exceeded. Ensure the company work are compliant with Health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities/ Duties :

Produce a business plan for submission to MD in an agreed timescale.

Manage logistics and operational procedures for  and make recommendations for improvement.

Ensure that the sales team are maximising sales potential, take responsibility for development of the major customers.

Develop and implement a sales development plan to achieve company sales and profit expectations for current and new product ranges.

To acquire customer product approvals for both core and traded products.

Be fully conversant with the commercial and technical requirements of customers and competitors within preselected and defined market sectors.

Submit monthly report detailing activities (including competitors), sales vs target and a forecast for bookings over the next 3 months.

CRM – amend or renew system to provide accurate activity analysis

Communicate to all staff on a frequent basis, achievement against budget.(format to be agreed with MD)

Ensure company operates within operational cost budgets.

QA / Health & Safety.

Full management to ensure full compliance and retention of ISO approval.
