MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Senior Substation Design Engineer, to be responsible for the design , planning and development of high voltage transmission and distribution networks. As a Senior Substation Design Engineer, your role will be crucial in allowing our client to deliver on their projects.

As a Senior Substation Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the delivery of high quality substation designs.
• Provide technical support for design and verification to colleagues.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the highest of safety standards at design stage.
• Ensure deliverables are met including budgets and quality.
• Act as Lead Engineer on multiple projects, liaising with engineers and stakeholders 
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• 5+ years in a similar or relevant role in substation design.
• Project management and contract management experience.
• Experience and understanding of PSDP/CDMC processes.
• Experience in control & protection systems, auxiliary power systems (AC/DC), power transformers, and/or reactors
• Relevant qualification: HND Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Full Driver's Licence.
