PSDP Specialist for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in Ireland
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with EMP design teams/external Contractors to ensure design coordination has been carried out effectively.
* Identify hazards arising from the design or from the technical, organisational, planning or time-related aspects of the project. Where possible, eliminate the hazards or reduce the risks.
* Communicate necessary control measures, design assumptions, or remaining risks to the PSCS so that they can be dealt with in the Safety & Health Plan.
* Ensure that the work of designers is coordinated to ensure safety.
* Prepare a written Safety & Health Plan for any project where construction will take more than 30 working days or 500 person days or where there is a particular risk.
* Prepare a Safety File for the completed structure and give it to the Client.
* Provide support and mentoring to newly appointed PSDP's within the company
* Complete lessons learned exercises to drive improvements within the PSDP process within the business.
* Support any PSDP competency evaluations that need to be completed both internally and externally.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Construction or Health & Safety role, with a minimum of 3 years experience in undertaking the PSDP role on capital projects.
- Minimum Level 7 NFQ in Health & Safety/Engineering or similar discipline.
- Project Supervisor Design Process Training.
- Design/Design experience in the Generation or utility business.
