Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Technician – Power Generation

€43,250 – €48,750 + benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (EC&I) Technician to join a major power generation business in Dublin. This role will form a key part of the maintenance team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of multiple generation stations.

As the EC&I Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities
  • Performing hands-on fault finding, testing, and repair work
  • Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning plant equipment
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system
  • Preparing and reviewing task-specific method statements and risk assessments
  • Performing authorised roles under the safety rules (safe systems of work)

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in power generation (thermal, hydro, renewables) or heavy process industry with EI&C systems
  • FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade electrical craft qualification or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical systems and/or control & instrumentation equipment
  • Experience with electrical schematics, P&IDs, calibration, and test equipment
  • Technical knowledge of power station or heavy industry maintenance procedures
  • Good IT skills with MS Office and CMMS systems
  • Full Category B driving licence
