Mechanical Maintenance Fitter – Power Generation

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join a major power generation business in Dublin. This role will form a key part of the maintenance team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of multiple generation stations.

As the Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities
  • Working on valves, pumps, gearboxes, and large rotating equipment
  • Installing and removing heavy plant equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records using the CMMS system
  • Preparing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments
  • Performing authorised roles under the site safety rules (safe systems of work)

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in power generation (thermal, hydro, renewables) or heavy process industry
  • FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or equivalent
  • Experience with valves, pumps, gearboxes, and heavy plant equipment
  • Technical knowledge of power station mechanical maintenance procedures
  • Strong safety culture and teamworking skills
  • Good IT skills with MS Office and CMMS systems
  • Full driving licence
