MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join a major power generation business in Dublin. This role will form a key part of the maintenance team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of multiple generation stations.
As the Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities
- Working on valves, pumps, gearboxes, and large rotating equipment
- Installing and removing heavy plant equipment
- Maintaining accurate records using the CMMS system
- Preparing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments
- Performing authorised roles under the site safety rules (safe systems of work)
To be considered for this role you should have:
- 2+ years’ experience in power generation (thermal, hydro, renewables) or heavy process industry
- FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or equivalent
- Experience with valves, pumps, gearboxes, and heavy plant equipment
- Technical knowledge of power station mechanical maintenance procedures
- Strong safety culture and teamworking skills
- Good IT skills with MS Office and CMMS systems
- Full driving licence
