As our representation expands, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Miller and/or CNC Turnerto join the team on a permanent basis.

Working Hours:

Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00pm

Position Overview:We are looking for a CNC Miller AND/OR CNC Turnerwho is proficient in programming, setting up, and operating CNC Mills 3axis and/or 2 axis lathes). The ideal candidate will have experience working with Heidenhain controls (Mills) and Siemens controls (Lathes.They will play a crucial role in themanufacturing process, ensuring high-quality production and meeting strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Versed within reverse engineering and repairs within a mixture of medium to heavy environments.
  • The ability to look at a repair project and decide on the best methods for work holding and machining.
  • Select and install cutting tools, adjust tool offsets, and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Interpret and modify CNC programs as needed to optimize machining processes and minimize cycle times.
  • Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations and prevent downtime.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller and/or Turner with proficiency in programming, setting, and operating mills or lathes
  • Proficiency with Heidenhain or Siemens controls is required.
  • CADCAM Experience desirable
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
