Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Dudley
Salary: 39,870 per year
Shift Pattern: 3 weeks mornings (Mon-Fri), 1 week afternoons (12:00-22:00, Mon-Thu)

Role Overview:
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities, including equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. This role requires a hands-on engineer with a strong technical skillset and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment
Work with electrical control systems, including 3-phase motors, contactors, inverter circuits, and safety circuits
Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Support welding, fabrication, and sub-assembly work as needed
Read and interpret technical schematics and documentation
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical/electrical engineering
Knowledge of slitting, decoiling, machining, and general workshop equipment
Welding skills (MIG/MAG/Arc) and oxy-fuel experience desirable
Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
Formal electrical qualifications such as 17th/18th Edition, AM2/AM2S or equivalent advantageous
