Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Dudley
Salary: 39,870 per year
Shift Pattern: 3 weeks mornings (Mon-Fri), 1 week afternoons (12:00-22:00, Mon-Thu)

A leading UK industrial manufacturing and processing company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site team. The company is well-established and offers excellent training and career progression opportunities.

Role Overview:
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities, including equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. This role requires a hands-on engineer with a strong technical skillset and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment

  • Work with electrical control systems, including 3-phase motors, contactors, inverter circuits, and safety circuits

  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Support welding, fabrication, and sub-assembly work as needed

  • Read and interpret technical schematics and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical/electrical engineering

  • Knowledge of slitting, decoiling, machining, and general workshop equipment

  • Welding skills (MIG/MAG/Arc) and oxy-fuel experience desirable

  • Ability to work independently and solve complex problems

  • Formal electrical qualifications such as 17th/18th Edition, AM2/AM2S or equivalent advantageous
