Are you committed to helping children with additional needs thrive in school? A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated Inclusion Worker to join their team. This full-time role is ideal for someone who can build strong relationships, manage behaviour calmly, and provide tailored emotional and social support to pupils with additional needs.

You'll work closely with a small group of pupils across the school, helping them regulate emotions, access learning, and feel secure and understood in the classroom environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils across KS1 and KS2
  • Use de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies
  • Run small group and 1:1 interventions (e.g. Zones of Regulation, ELSA-style sessions)
  • Build trusted relationships to boost confidence and emotional wellbeing
  • Support behaviour plans and pastoral care alongside the SENCO and pastoral lead

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs
  • A calm, empathetic approach and positive behaviour strategies
  • Confidence working 1:1 and in small groups
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education
