We’re hiring for an Electrical Fitter to join a specialist manufacturing team based in Hyde, Tameside. You’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly — from bespoke systems to customer modifications — with opportunities to work on-site and develop your skills.
What’s on offer?
- £15.85 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Early finish on Fridays
- 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

What will you be doing as an Electrical Fitter?
- Building and wiring control panels to specification
- Routing, fitting, and securing cables and wiring looms within machinery
- Connecting and testing motors, sensors, and electrical components
- Interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to carry out installations
- Supporting the electrical setup of both rental and customer conveyor systems
- Conducting basic electrical testing and fault-finding
- Ensuring all work meets electrical safety standards and qualityprocedures
What do you need?
- Time-served with relevant electrical qualifications – including 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- Proven experience in electrical fitting, panel wiring, or a similar hands-on electrical role
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Understanding of industrial machinery or conveyor systems (advantageous)
