KS1 Teacher
As the KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching either a Year 1 or Year 2 class, with an average class size of 30 pupils and average SEND.
You will be required to:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with National Curriculum standards, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
- Establish a trusting, respectful rapport with the class and utilise effective behaviour management strategies and parent communication tools.
- Use formative and summative assessment strategies to record and report on pupil progress, planning for intervention where appropriate to address misconceptions and consolidate learning objectives
- Work well as an individual as well as forming a positive relationship with the class teaching assistant
- Use the Whiteboard, chromebooks and other forms of technology to bring learning to life and keep up-to-date with today's modern tech-savvy way of learning
- Contribute to all areas of school life including taking on an after school club and supporting other local community events.
Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has experience teaching KS1, with excellent references to support this
- Demonstrated confidence teaching the KS1 curriculum and has a solid understanding of Read Write inc.
- Demonstrates outstanding teaching skills and a commitment to student progress
- Applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
