Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker - Hourly Paid (up to 17.07 PH after probation)

About the Role
Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge with a forward-thinking organisation in the high-tech engineering sector? We are recruiting for experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join a well-established aerospace and defence manufacturer at their busy facility in Manchester East
As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be part of the team manufacturing products for aerospace and defence clients, performing a full range of sheet metal operations in line with Standard Operating Procedures and approved quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture and assemble sheet metal components to close tolerances.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Follow in-house routing and processes, ensuring the correct calibrated equipment is used.
Operate and perform key processes such as rubber pressing, hand forming, profiling parts after form, countersinking, wheeling, and rolling.
Maintain attention to detail, producing consistently high-quality parts.
Essential Requirements
Time-served Sheet Metal Worker with a strong engineering background (aerospace, pharmaceutical, medical, or other high-quality industries).
Experience working with thin gauge aluminium.
Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings.
Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with 5S standards.
Working Hours
Standard hours can be compressed into a four-day working week (36 hours over Monday - Thursday).
Overtime: first 10 hours paid at 1.5x hourly rate, any additional hours at double time.
