Laboratory Technician for the food industry required, based near Amesbury. Requiring a degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Natural Sciences or similar and an enthusiastic and proactive mind set. Any industrial laboratory experience in the food industry would be advantageous but not essential.Title: R&D Laboratory Technician
Location: Amesbury, Wiltshire
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
SRG is exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturer in the food industry who are now looking to hire a Laboratory Technician to join the R&D team at their site near Amesbury. This exciting Laboratory Technician opportunity would be well suited to a recent scientific graduate who is passionate about the food industry and keen to kick-start their career in a laboratory.

Role / Description
- Supporting senior members of staff with customer development briefs
- Mixing and preparing samples in the laboratory
- Working with the applications laboratory to test samples in food products
- Maintaining the raw materials and consumables databases
- Ordering supplies and general housekeeping of the laboratory.
Requirements
- Recently graduated in Chemistry, Food Science, Natural Sciences, Biochemistry or similar
- An obvious passion for food science and/or the wider food industry
- Accuracy in weighing and measuring out raw materials
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a multitude of departments
- Able to multi-task and change priorities quickly depending on business need.
