Junior Rural SurveyorClient: Leicestershire County CouncilStart Date: ASAPÂ Duration: 3 Months Initially (likely extension)Rate: *Negotiable*(Umbrella Inside IR35) Hybrid Working Arrangement Onsite Weekly
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of rural land and property owned by the council, including smallholdings, parks, and agricultural land.
- Assist in the preparation of valuations for lettings, acquisitions, disposals, and internal reporting.
- Help draft and administer agricultural tenancy agreements, licences, and leases.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurate property records, maps, and databases.
- Assist in rent reviews, inspections, and monitoring tenant compliance with lease obligations.
- Provide support on land use matters, including planning applications, environmental schemes, and development proposals.
- Liaise with tenants, landowners, contractors, and internal departments to support the effective management of the rural estate.
- Attend site visits, surveys, and meetings with senior surveyors and property officers.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree (or working towards one) in Rural Land Management, Property, Agriculture, or a related subject.
- Intention to work towards RICS qualification, preferably via the Rural or Land & Resources pathway.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn property management systems.
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards one) – desirable due to rural site access.
