We're looking for an Application Support Developer to join a forward-thinking organisation undergoing major digital transformation. You'll play a key role in ensuring systems run smoothly while supporting users and contributing to the ongoing development of new solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver 1st and 2nd line support for internal business applications, resolving incidents and service requests quickly and effectively.

  • Liaise with users to identify issues, provide guidance, and escalate more complex problems to the development team.

  • Support application updates, configuration changes, and data management tasks.

  • Assist with testing and quality assurance for new software releases.

  • Contribute to clear, user-friendly documentation including support materials and user guides.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and support teams to prioritise and resolve issues in line with business needs.

  • Maintain awareness of the business processes supported by each application to ensure effective operational support.

What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience in application or software support (1st or 2nd line).

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, with confidence in engaging with non-technical users.

  • A logical and methodical approach to diagnosing problems.

  • Basic knowledge of querying databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

  • Understanding of software development environments and processes.

  • Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident, request, and change management practices.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics applications.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

  • Familiarity with software testing and QA practices.

  • Experience working within Agile or KANBAN environments.
