Locum Team Leader (Property) – South West – £60 per hour – Remote Working Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team is assisting a South West Local Authority which is looking to appoint an experienced Locum Lawyer to lead its Property team for an initial duration of 3 months. This is a full time, remote working position. It would best suit a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx) with prior management experience, preferably gained within a Local Authority. Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Managing the small in-house Property team within the Legal Services department
- Overseeing all aspects of commercial property matters related to asset portfolio management
- Managing and advising on the development, sale, lease, and other transactions involving public sector land holdings
- Providing expert advice on all aspects of local authority land transactions
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and governance standards
- Offering strategic and practical advice to clients on property matters
- Developing effective solutions to complex property issues, ensuring client needs are met efficiently
