Field Service Engineer - Bristol / Swindon / Cheltenham area

Job Title: Field Service EngineerLocation: Cheltenham / Swindon / Bristol areaSalary: £38,000 - £40,000 (DOE)Reporting to: Service Contracts ManagerTravel: Regional with occasional overnight stays

A specialist integrator of high-end surveillance and access control systems for secure environments including MoD, prisons, and power stations. With decades of expertise and long-serving engineers, the company provides full lifecycle support on advanced security platforms.

You'll maintain and support complex CCTV, Access Control, and PID systems across sensitive, multi-site environments. Working remotely, you'll join a close-knit engineering team and cover both planned and reactive tasks.

• Maintain/repair CCTV, Access Control & PID

• Support control room systems & multi-site platforms

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance

• Document all work and close helpdesk tickets promptly

• Represent the company professionally onsite

• Maintain and report on company vehicle condition

Essential Experience:

• Enterprise-level CCTV & access control

• C-Cure, Gallagher, and Synergy systems

• DVR/NVR, IP networks, RAID

• On-site diagnostics and repair

Desirable:

• PID, Galaxy, Cortech, CEM, Milestone, Digifort, C-Cure, Video Matrix

• First-line gate/barrier repair

• Must pass SC & NPPV2 vetting

• Strong communication & documentation skills

• Flexible and reliable; able to travel off-patch

• Comfortable with solo site visits

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays

• Extra birthday day off

• Door-to-door pay (time & a half after 5 driving hours/day)

• No formal call-out rota

• £1,000 bonus (subject to company profit - usually met)

• £200 joining float for expenses

• Fuel card + personal use allowed (with restrictions)

• Hotel provided for 10+ hr travel days

• 11-hour rest after late returns

• Company laptop, mobile, tools & PPE

• Weekly virtual team meetings

• Annual workshops & team events

• IPAF training (if needed)
