Our well-established client working within the logistics industry are looking to onboard a reliable and experienced Commercial Director to join their already flourishing team!

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives to drive growth and profitability.
- Contribute to the business's medium and long-term strategy to ensure organizational goals are achieved.
- Collaborate with the Operations Director to address margin erosion and create actionable steps to improve and mitigate future risks.
- Monitor the performance of commercial activities and report key sales metrics to the Branch Directors.
- Foster a healthy commercial environment within the branch and work with various teams (marketing, operations, sales support, finance, HR, etc.) as needed.
- Oversee team performance to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, service standards, and to drive business growth.
- Identify training and development needs for the team and ensure necessary training is provided.
- Conduct one-on-one reviews with employees at least quarterly.
Requirements:
- Senior commercial experience, capable of establishing credibility and supporting the company's growth and accountability.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the freight forwarding industry.
- Strong commercial insight, collaborating with the business to implement commercially focused strategies.
- Project management abilities, ensuring company targets and deadlines are met.
- Resilience and a positive attitude, especially in difficult situations.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships both over the phone and in person with a wide range of individuals.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a strong team player.
- Self-motivated.
- High attention to detail.
- Accountability to oneself and others.
- Analytical and ambitious mindset.
- Proficient in IT skills.
