CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator

Dunbartonshire

Monday – Friday (40 hours)

£16 - £21 per hour DOE

The Role

  • CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator (Fanuc controls essential)
  • Candidates with no programming experience will be considered but must have operating experience with Fanuc controls as training can be given on programming)
  • The ability to read and edit programmes is preferrable
  • Experience on sliding head CNC machines would be advantageous
  • We require a keen eye for detail and precision
  • You will knowledge of modern tooling and machining techniques with the ability to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Operate designated machinery safely and competently, ensuring all HSE and housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Interpret engineering drawing, manufacturing components to set tolerances
  • Perform QC checks on components as required by manufacturing specifications

Essential Qualifications/Experience

  • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
  • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
  • CNC sliding head experience advantageous
  • CMM knowledge
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience of working with CNC programmable lathes
  • Citizen bar feeder knowledge would be advantageous
  • Continuous Improvement activities (desirable)
  • Knowledge of 5S and lean principles would be advantageous
