Our client is a global leader in advanced polyester films, supplying innovative materials to industries such as healthcare, electronics, packaging, and renewable energy. With sites across Europe, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, they're now growing their maintenance team in Dumfries - and are looking for a talented Control Technician to join them.
The Role
As a Control Technician, you'll help keep high-tech production systems running at peak performance. You'll carry out reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance, diagnose control and electrical faults, and support continuous improvement projects. You'll also mentor apprentices and work collaboratively across engineering teams to keep operations safe, efficient, and reliable.
What You'll Bring
- Recognised apprenticeship in Control/Electrical Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley preferred) and SCADA systems
- Strong teamwork, flexibility, and a proactive mindset
