Job Title: Material Handler
Hours: Mon to Fri (Day Shift 6am - 2pm, Back Shift 2pm - 10pm, Night Shift 10pm - 6am)
Salary: From £26,000 (DOE)

We are looking for amazing people to join our growing team in a leading plastics manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the shift Team Leader, this role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shipping and receiving functions.  As a successful Material Handler, you will provide full support to our Production Operation by learning new skills of a Process Technician when the business needs dictate.

Key tasks & Activities

  • Participate in counting and inspecting items.
  • Control the delivery of raw materials and respective unloading to silo’s.
  • Organize and make sure delivery drivers adhere to related quality and Health and safety policies and instructions.
  • Control the necessary documentation, ensuring correct counts, weights or measures Safely and efficiently operates power and manual material moving equipment such as forklifts.
  • Loads the client's trailers.
  • Hands on approach to daily cleaning schedules.
  • All aspects of a Process Technician.

Who we are looking for
Background and Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience required in a similar role.
  • Forklift; Logistics and Administrative work.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • You will have a good working knowledge of relevant legislation, including Health & Safety.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Flexibility and reliability are essential for this position.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, along with excellent organizational skills and job prioritization.
  • Effective communicator at all levels.
  • Effective trouble shooter
