MDE are currently seeking a CNC Miler - Programmer/Setter/Op for an Aerospace & Defence Component manufacturer just outside of Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity to have a real impact, take significant ownership within the Milling section, and deliver mission-critical complex components to high-end sectors, Primes and OEMs.
The role:
Your role involves ownership - we're looking for someone to take accountability and drive production & quality within the business.
If you're an individual who programmes mills not just for the product, but with the order-book, quality and commercials in mind, this is for you.
On an end to end level, it is to control the production of programs and conforming parts on the machines, ensuring that the organisation meets its customers’ expectations of quality and delivery within their team, through the creation (in CADCAM, HyperMILL) of CNC Milling programmes.
To work with the Production Manager, Setter / Operators, other Operators, and others in the department in promoting a right first-time approach to all tasks within the department.
To adhere to the techniques used within the business, comply with the practices used and promote a continuous improvement ethos within the business.
The skills:
Experience of programming, setting and operating CNC machinery.
Experience of offline CAM package - ideally HyperMILL.
Experience of Solidworks or similar CAD packages that use models.
Ideally, you're the kind of person who can offline programme, prove in Vericut, and edit online - at their DMG's, Hermle's and Doosan's (a good understanding of longhand/ISO and more conversational programming would benefit).
