Award winning Porters Bar and Restaurant is currently looking for an experienced Sous Chef. This is an amazing opportunity to be involved in a fast-growing business.

Situated at the heart of Dundees vibrant City Quay, Porters is just a stones throw from Dundee City Centre. By combining delicious, locally sourced, food and drink, stunning surroundings and of course great service, Porters is nowtheplace to eat and socialise in Dundee.

The characteristics of a successful Sous Chef include honesty, integrity, accountability, excellent communication and dedication. You will be the second in command in the kitchen and will assist in creating and inspecting dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment. You are expected to assist in making sure the restaurant meets all regulations, including sanitary and safety guidelines. You must assist the Head Chef to ensure that the restaurant is always functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities of Sous Chef will include:

Complete HACCP paperwork daily

Fridges in and out daily

Stock rotation / stock control

Meet hygiene regulations

Report issues to the Head Chef

Deputise and take control of daily duties in the absence of the Head Chef

Oversee junior members of the team

Operating hours:

Closed all day Monday and Tuesday

Wednesday to Sunday - Lunch 12-2pm / Evening 5-9pm

Shift hours:

10am - 3pm / 5pm-9pm - 2 days off per week
