Electronic Engineer



Location: Hybrid in Dundee - (3 days on site minimum)

We're looking for a talented and driven Electronic Engineer to join our growing product development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, high-volume electronic products from concept through to production.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems.

  • Implement USB interfaces and analogue signal conditioning.

  • Develop and optimise DC-DC switching power supply circuits.

  • Perform circuit simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout using Cadence tools.

  • Ensure products meet EMC, USB, and safety compliance standards.

  • Produce clear and accurate engineering documentation, including functional and unit test specifications.

  • Track Bill of Materials (BOM) costs and contribute to project scheduling and status reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and cost-effective designs for high-volume manufacturing.



Key Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems, digital/analogue circuit design, and power electronics.

  • Hands-on experience with Cadence or similar schematic and PCB design tools.

  • Familiarity with circuit simulation, signal integrity, and design for EMC and safety.

  • Understanding of low-cost, high-volume product development.

  • Excellent documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.



Desirable:

  • Experience in USB interface design and compliance.

  • Exposure to automated testing and production support.

  • Background in consumer electronics, IoT, or similar product environments.
