Escape Recruitment is supporting an established engineering manufacturer in Dunfermline who are looking to add a Design Engineer to their engineering team.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on customer-led projects, taking designs from concept through to manufacture, and acting as a technical link between customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design engineered solutions based on customer requirements
Support quotations through technical input, feasibility and costing information
Manage design activity across multiple projects simultaneously
Act as a technical point of contact for customers during development projects
Produce and maintain CAD models, drawings and manufacturing documentation
Work closely with production, purchasing and suppliers to support delivery
Contribute to continuous improvement and design optimisation
Attend occasional customer or supplier meetings within the UK
Experience Required
HND or Degree in Mechanical related engineering discipline
Experience in a design or product engineering role within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in CAD and standard engineering tools
Exposure to project-based engineering work
Comfortable communicating with customers and internal stakeholders
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities
