Job Summary

A rapidly growing construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join their team, with involvement across multiple divisions, including civil engineering and specialist fencing services. With a focus on safety and quality, the company operates across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and maintains its own manufacturing facility and in-house installation teams.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping the company maintain high safety standards and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance practices.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) management systems.

  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards.

  • Provide onsite support and guidance to project and site teams.

  • Prepare SHEQ-related documentation and liaise with clients as required.

  • Manage subcontractor evaluations and reviews.

  • Operate independently to meet project deadlines.

  • Assist in the preparation of bid and tender qualification documents.

  • Ensure site teams meet all safety compliance requirements for both NI and ROI.

  • Promote continuous improvement across the organization.

  • Oversee staff training and certification relevant to upcoming projects.

  • Support additional business activities as needed to ensure continued success.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Construction industry experience is essential.

  • NEBOSH or equivalent Level 4 Health & Safety qualification required.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
