We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores and Goods In Operative to join our team in Great Dunmow on a temporary basis. Working Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week.

What You'll Do:As the Stores and Goods In Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all incoming materials and products meet our high-quality standards. Here's a glimpse of your key responsibilities:

  • Receive and Inspect: Check all critical incoming goods against purchase orders and specifications to ensure quality compliance.
  • Unload and Store: Efficiently unload materials and stock items, placing them in designated storage locations.
  • Verify Documentation: Ensure delivery paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Conduct Inspections: utilise measurement tools to perform visual checks and confirm dimensions and tolerances.
  • Report Issues: Identify and communicate any non-conformances or damaged goods.
  • Maintain Inventory: Log inspection results and manage inventory using our ERP system.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with purchasing and other departments to tackle quality issues.
  • Ensure Compliance: Follow health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Stock Management: Carry out regular stock checks and assist with stocktakes, keeping accurate records.
  • Keep It Tidy: Ensure the stores area is clean, organised, and safe at all times.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks.

What We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Previous experience in a similar stores or goods-in role.
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of quality standards, such as ISO 9001.
  • A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach.
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft 365.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A valid forklift licence.
